Oscar's The other snickle off of Stonegate (Back Swinegate?), York No real ales, but has Budvar on tap. Nice atmosphere and good food.

Pitcher and Piano On the river, next to the cinema, York Big, noisey, filled with kids. But a great view of the river.

Wilde's The snickle off of Stonegate, York Serves beer in half-pints and bottles, only. Nice atmosphere and good food.

York Brewery Tofts Green, York RA Need to be a member or guest to drink here. The beer is good, though.

Winston's (Churchill Hotel) Ambleside Raucus -- we watched the England v Germany Euro 2000 qualifying game here...
