Walking Wansfell

Mary Ellen and I escaped for a weekend in the Lake District. We stayed in Ambleside, and went for two walks in the area. The first was to the village of Troutbeck, via a climb over Wansfell, then back through the fields and woods to Ambleside. There is a steep path to the top of Wansfell, and a great view of Lake Windermere and the Ambleside area. The weather was very warm and clear, and it was a very relaxing walk.

The walk was 6 miles. Wansfell is 1200-something feet.
