Walk to Ingleborough, part 3

This area of the Dales has has many limestone features including Pot Holes and Shake Holes--I'm hot sure which is which--and limestone pavement.

The walk back to Clapham was pleasant--downhill the entire way. As I got into town a light but steady rain started. I had a few hours until the next train would arrive, and I felt called to do some original research on real ale availability in Clapham. My efforts were rewarded at the New Inn, where I sampled the Fell Beck Bitter and the Rambretta, both from the Dent Brewery.

The total length of the walk was about 10 miles. Ingleborough is 2,372 feet, or 723 meters for metriphiles. Fell Beck Bitter and the Rambretta are both fine ales.
