Miss Manners
Katie and I attended her Etiquette and Cotillion class dinner and dance. She had a fun time, and it was great to see all the kids dressed up and being polite to each other.
Construction update
The footers are poured, which is nearly the last job to be done by the contractor. Don't ask why the footers were poured after the job was nearly done: it makes no sense to me, either. We're just waiting for the final shower hook-up and inspection.
We've still got painting and carpeting to do, but we're not using the contractor for that, so it should go pretty quickly.

I turned off the comment feature, because the spam was bothering me. If I upgrade to the newer version of Movable Type I might try comments again.
It is January, right?
Last week the kids were off to school in shorts, because it was 60 degrees. Today, the schools have delayed opening for 2 hours because of the low temperatures (it's 11F now.)

Diane's Birthday

Fall Concert

Katie played clarinet and sang in the chorus at the fall concert. The kids sounded very good, even though they've been together only about a dozen sessions.

Sean's scale and back handspring from the floor routine.
We travelled down to Richmond for an overnight. Sean did fine in the meet, and the team placed 3rd.
