Big Smile
"Today was my best day ever. I had a meet. I got 4 medals and a t-shirt and a hat. We got a trophy. I got to eat at McDonald's two times. And I lost a tooth!"
Sean's team did well at the meet, and Sean did fine, too. It was a long day, as we left the house at 9:30 AM and got back about 9:00 PM. The actual competion was not that long not long -- and the time Sean was actually on the apparatus totaled about 5 minutes. But there was a generous stretch and warmup period, a long award ceremony, and lots of nerves, so he was exhausted by the time we got home.

Nerves
Sean has been a bundle of nerves for the past several days, anticipating the first meet. I think he realizes that he will be in front of a lot of people, doing his routines alone, and that the scoring counts. That's a big change from soccer.

Seasons
Soccer season, rain-delayed and shortened, is finally over. For Sean, gymnastics meets will start this month. Katie turns her attention to the clarinet.
