We spent a few days in Disneyworld (nine pages) and then Ft. Lauderdale (two pages) for Thanksgiving. The kids loved Disneyworld and had a nice time in visiting Aunts and cousins on Thanksgiving. The Fuji digital camera is on its last legs. I dropped it during the trip to Kevin's graduation, and the battery cover is now held on by a rubber band. It was a pretty good camera in 1998, and it survived two drops, but I had been looking for an upgrade for some time. Now I have a legitimate reason. The video cam takes digital photos, but the quality is not as good as the Fuji--you'll notice the difference in the Disney pictures, which include pictures from both cameras. I was also disapponted that I lost about 20 pictures from Ft. Lauderdale. The disk that contained the last pictures I took there was corrupt, and I couldn't recover the pictures. That's the first time that has happened. I'm not sure if it is related to the camera, the disk, or airport security, but it pretty much clinched the decision to get a new camera.

Carving pumpkins and dressing up for Halloween. A couple of weeks prior, Katie and I went hiking (5 pages, big pictures) on the Billy Goat Trail along the Potomac. A few days later Mom and I went to Kevin and Dy's Masters graduation.

Happy Holidays... Christmas pictures on the way. In the mean time, Sean and I had a great hike (four pages, big pictures) and I tested the camera at gymnastics class.

Trip to Disneyworld
We surprised the kids with a few days in Disneyworld (9 pages, big pictures), before driving to Ft. Lauderdale for Thanksgiving.
At the airport before our flight down, we ran into an old friend from Boston. Then, a few minutes before our delayed flight was due in, the terminal was emptied for a security violation--more delays. In the end, we arrived in Orlando a couple of hours late and got the kids in bed about 1:30 AM. Disneyworld was fun, hectic, tiring and expensive (in just about that order.) More about Disney in the picture pages. It was very nice to see The Aunts and our cousins in Ft. Lauderdale. It is amazing how well the aunts get on -- all over 90 -- and it was tough to keep them out of the kitchen while we put dinner together.
